Le son de la sève

Deux musiciens nous accueillent dans une forêt d’arbres creux. Chaque arbre est une trogne issue du bocage, un vieil arbre taillé par les paysans et sculpté par le temps. Chacun est transformé en instrument de musique avec lequel nous jouons. Ce jeu est improvisé, libre, brut et parfois sauvage, il est ouvert à tous pour découvrir des sonorités uniques et former un orchestre tribal au sens premier.

 

Créé en 2012 au festival 1,9,3 Soleil ! au Parc Départemental de l’île Saint-Denis, coproduit par le Conseil Général de Seine-Saint-Denis et l’aide de la Ville de Rosny-sous-Bois.

SAP SOUND is a forest of old hollow trees transformed in musical instruments like primitive forms in metamorphosis, it’s an interactive performance where people plays together. Each discovers and appropriates the sound in listening and improvisation, each takes part to the concert.

The musicians approach us with strange instruments like homemade berimbau, playing in duet. After this introduction, we discover a forest of musical trees : woods percussions, marimbula, kalimba, strings… By giving us chopsticks, they invite us to play with them. We explore the sound of these hollow trunks and step by step make a free orchestra.

The music is completely unique and always different, like trees themselves, like peoples in this forest. The performance is an invitation to share a soundscape, to play together, trying to make a community.
